The Shippensburg Area School District Art Department is proud to welcome Mr. Aric Sites to the art faculty. A SASHS alumnus, Mr. Sites received a B.S. in Art Education from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and his Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Bradley Academy. Mr. Sites served as a long-term substitute at the high school during the 2012-2013 school year. He was hired as a regular faculty member in July of 2013. He is a working artist and has exhibited in venues around the country. You can see some of his work HERE.
Selected at the district-wide art show, Artrageous, each year, the Super Award winning works become a part of the district's permanent collection of student art work. The works are displayed at the administration building at 317 North Morris Street. The Super Award was created in 2011 by Superintendent Kristin Carroll and is funded by the Shippensburg Area School District Foundation. The Superintendent selects one work from the elementary or middle level and one work from the high school level each year.
