"NICK STOKES: Walk Cycle" What: GIF animation created using Adobe Animate Why: Although a short loop, animator and art director Nick Stokes animation is extremely well-conceived and natural-feeling. It is easy to watch the animation for many loop cycles which simply and elegantly celebrates the idea that we are all different and alike at the same time. |

"ZILLA van den BORN: Fakecation" What: 24-year old Dutch artist fakes a vacation to Asia Why: The elaborate, 40+ day plot by student Zilla van den Born was a reaction to a university assignment and was created to demonstrate image manipulation and the unreliable nature of social media postings. Weirdly, the "fakecation" has become a common phenomenon on social media. |

early 20th Century Surrealist painters.
