artrageous 2024!
DISTRICT-WIDE ART CELEBRATION
The SASD Art Department will celebrate its Annual ARTRAGEOUS at Shippensburg Area High School on Wed., March 6, 2024, from 5:30-7:00pm
Artrageous, formerly Evening with the Arts, was renamed in the early 2000’s by elementary art teacher Cynthia Dobson, and is the latest incarnation of Shippensburg School District’s celebration of the arts stretching back decades. The concept was originally developed by art teacher Mrs. Becky Myers (retired), Mr. Charles Bailey (retired) of the Technology Education Department, and the late Mrs. Joanne Ketterer, teacher of Family Consumer Science. Over the years, the visual art event evolved and eventually separated from the Practical Arts. The event is free and open to the public and features an exhibit of the best of SASD student art from every district school building, kindergarten to grade 12 as well as art demonstrations and kids' activities by the SASHS Chapter of the National Art Honor Society and musical entertainmainment by members of the SASHS Coffee House Club!
